The corollary is that isolation and loneliness are devastating to a person’s mental and physical health, deadly even. Isolation is, in part, a state of mind, but it is also a physical reality. So we need to ask ourselves how our surroundings, our homes and our cities contribute to the scourge of loneliness.
Loneliness isn't necessarily a result of being alone. Being alone can be healthy and rewarding, especially for people in this field who may be further along the introversion spectrum. That's me.
